Blue Horizon Clinic is different from the usual medical clinic.  They do all the usual GP consults and procedures, emergency and trauma care, family medicine, etc.  However, they have an emphasis on holistic patient-centred care, and tend to attract patients looking for an alternative therapy approach.  They minimize the use of medications wherever possible, if lifestyle and natural therapies can achieve the results required.  They have a focus on mental health, child health and addictions.  There is an opiate substitution program, an adolescent clinic which deals with preventative sexual health issues and the GP works on a roster basis at the after hours medical service.

The clinic comprises a GP, a neurodevelopmental program for ADD and Autism, Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, deep tissue massage, a medical homeopath and two part time mental health nurses.  The clinic does not run an immunisation program and has no separate treatment room or practice nurse.  Procedures are performed in the doctor's room.
