Cardinia Medical Centre is a family-owned practice with five doctors based in Pakenham, a suburb just 40 minutes’ drive from the Melbourne CBD. GPs are required to work at two locations - Pakenham and Koo Wee Rup - which have mixed billing arranagements. Training can be provided if necessary.
Pakenham is located in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges and has easy access to many tourist attractions, including forests, bush, parklands and the coast. It is a growing suburb with a population consisting largely of families.
Pakenham and Koo Wee Rup are within the Melbourne outer metropolitan area and a relocation incentive grant may be available for a GP moving from an inner metropolitan area.
