Board Communique June 2010
This Board Communique announces the retirement of Dr Elroy Schroeder, appointment of a new Treasurer, relocation of our mental health services and developments in after hours medical service delivery.

Resignation of Dr Elroy Schroeder, Treasurer
Dr Schroder submitted his resignation in June. The Board acknowledged Dr Schroeder's significant contribution to ERGPA, and his long term commitment to the Board.
Appointment of New Treasurer, Mr Joe Balci
The Board agreed not to actively seek a new Board Member to replace Dr Schroeder until the AGM. Mr Joe Balci was unanimously elected as Treasurer following his nomination from Dr Tony Palmer. Mr Balci is a qualified Accountant with many years of experience in finance and governance.
Retirement of Bill Newton
The Board acknowledged the impending retirement of Bill Newton, the long serving CEO of General Practice Victoria.
After Hours - Angliss Hospital Site Paper
The Board discussed a briefing paper prepared for Eastern Health outlining a proposal to co-locate the funded Belgrave site of the Eastern Ranges After Hours Medical Service (ERAHMS) with the Angliss Hospital. A number of operating models were proposed, with feedback from Eastern Health expected shortly.
Finance
The Board reviewed the Auditor's Engagement Letter; Danby, Bland, Provan will provide Independent Auditing to ERGPA for 09/10. The Board also reviewed the draft budget for 10/11 and discussed the asset write downs for 09/10.
New Mental Health Service site at Lilydale
The Board approved the proposal to establish a mental health service site in Lilydale. The site will be completed by 1 October 2010, with 6 consulting rooms and group room space to locate up to 10 mental health nurses, the diabetes education service and Life! courses.
