Changes to Primary Health Care MBS Items
A number of changes will be introduced to the general attendance items, health assessment, chronic disease management and after hours items in the May 2010 Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) update.
A preview set of explanatory notes about these changes has been made available to AGPN and can be accessed from the members area of the website.
Please note that these are not the complete explanatory notes that will appear in MBS on-line, they are simply an overview of the changes. In addition, the Department of health and Ageing (DoHA) is collating answers to a series of questions that Network members have forwarded. These question and answers will be up on the DoHA website www.health.gov.au/mbspirmarycareitems next week.
