Changes to the MBS item funding and the PIP program - how will this affect you?
The Commonwealth Government announced a revamp to the way in which nursing in general practice is funded. This initiative will support an expanded and enhanced role for practice nurses with a new, simplified and streamlined financing arrangement.
ERGPA require further information from your practice in relation to the proposed changes to the MBS item funding and the PIP program.
Initial concerns lie mostly in trying to understand whether there will be any adverse effects to you and your practice as a result of these changes. If throughout our division there are instances of adverse effect, we will need to gather this information in order to advocate on your behalf.
