Gardasil for boys

The indication for Gardasil has been extended to include males aged nine to 26 years for the prevention of external genital lesions and infection caused by HPV types 6, 11, 16 and 18, the TGA has announced.

http://www.tga.gov.au/committee/acpm/acpm0270.htm . Immunogenicity studies have been conducted to link efficacy in females and males aged 16 to 26 years to the younger populations. Gardasil should be administered as 3 separate 0.5 mL doses in a 0, 2 and 6 month schedule.
