On Wednesday 23 June the Commonwealth Government annChanges to General Practice Supervision Payments
On Wednesday 23 June the Commonwealth Government announced a 20% increase to the allowance payable to GPs who supervise doctors enrolled in general practice training.
Attracting and retaining high quality supervisors is critical to ensure that the next generation of GPs receives the best quality training.
The increased funding began on 1 July 2010 and is intended to meet projected shortfalls while improving access to and availability of GP services.
