The Life! program is directly based on the Finnish diabetes prevention program which has been proven to reduce the incidence of newly diagnosed diabetes by up to 58% in course participants.
The Life! Program focuses on Victorians aged 50 years and over, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of all ages at risk of diabetes. The main aim of the program is to prevent people from developing type 2 diabetes and to contribute to early diagnosis in those who have type 2 diabetes but they are unaware.
