Access to Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS)

ATAPS enables GPs under the Better Outcomes in Mental Health Care (BOiMHC) program to refer consumers to allied health professionals who deliver focussed psychological strategies.

The APCC Program helps general practitioners (GPs) and primary health care providers work together to improve patient clinical outcomes, reduce lifestyle risk factors, help maintain good health for those with chronic and complex conditions and promote a culture of quality improvement in primary health care.

The Bushfire Counselling Service provides one on one and group counselling to people affected by the Black Saturday Bushfires.

The Eastern Ranges GP Association (ERGPA) runs an After Hours Medical Service in Healesville and Yarra Junction. This service is available to the general public needing to see a doctor for urgent medical matters that cannot wait until the next day.

Immunisation

For ERGPA the major focus of the immunisation program is to support general practices and encourage participation of general practitioners in the General Practice Immunisation Incentive (GPII) scheme as part of the National Immunisation Program (NIP).

Life! Taking Action on Diabetes

The Life! Program focuses on Victorians aged 40 years and over, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of all ages at risk of diabetes. The main aim of the program is to prevent people from developing type 2 diabetes and to contribute to early diagnosis in those who have type 2 diabetes but are unaware.

Mental Health Nurse Incentive Program

The Mental Health Nurse Incentive Program provides a non-MBS incentive payment to community based general practices, private psychiatrist services and other appropriate organisations (such as Divisions of General Practice) who engage mental health nurses to assist in the provision of coordinated clinical care for people with severe mental disorders.

National Prescribing Service (NPS)

The NPS program offers one-to-one and group training with ERGPA’s Pharmacist Facilitator who provides up to date information on drug therapies. The program also provides access to small group discussions, workshops and clinical audits, providing increased access to the PIP QPI Initiatives.

The Practice Health Atlas (PHA) is a decision support tool. PHA is a generated report which enables General Practice teams to visually analyse their patient population and reflect on their activities and to develop innovative business models for more effective health care services/ outcomes.

Prescribing Data in General Practice Demonstration Project (PDGPD)

The Prescribing Data in General Practice Demonstration (PDGPD) project is a quality improvement (QI) activity for GPs. The project has been developed by the National Prescribing Service (NPS) in conjunction with the Australian General Practice Network (AGPN). Up to 180 practices and 20 Divisions across Australia will be selected for the project.
