General Practice Liaison (GPL) Program
Our General Practice Liaison Program (GPL) has been established in conjunction with Eastern Health to improve communication between General Practitioners and hospitals.
The GPL endeavours to make sure that communication happens promptly and is focused on the person and their care needs. Multidisciplinary liaison meetings are held with each hospital and an overarching steering committee coordinates activities across all Eastern Health sites. We also provide opportunities for GP's to improve their skills through a series of practical education forums.
Recent activities include;

• Hospital referral audit
• Emergency Scenarios education for GP's
• Fracture Management skills development for GP's
